It is my professional duty to maintain a safe, nurturing, and creative environment conducive for learning and building productive relationships without bias, while inspiring students to strive for academic success and acquire skills to be effective citizens in the communities where they live.

Theatre is best taught in a collaborative learning environment much like communities. It thrives off teacher-student and student-student exchange, therefore, my lessons plans are structured to foster camaraderie. As students grow and become more proficient in skills they are moved to the next level of rigorous learning activities that promote student independence which enables students to reach benchmarks with less teacher assistance. Such high expectations challenge students to strive for academic success. Students are able to transfer these skills to real world applications.
