Theatre and Me

I believe in the trans-formative power of the arts.

Hello parents and students,

My name is Mrs. Lockhart. For the next nine months, I will have the privilege of inviting my students to explore the highest level of their intelligence, the creative mind. As a 40 year veteran in the arts, I have experienced the benefits of an arts education and a professional career in the performing arts. My craft has provided me the opportunity to travel, meet interesting people and serve in several capacities as an arts educator. My goal is to share the trans-formative power of the arts and inspire each student to leave this class better equipped to make a positive difference in the lives of those we come in contact with and the communities where we live. As a native of Birmingham, I am excited to serve my community by cultivating our most precious resource, our youth.
