Introduction

 

Hello and welcome to my online classroom! It is an honor to introduce parents and students to the theatre arts curriculum and share my classroom management strategies. Here you may review my teaching philosophy, expectations and course content. These tools allow students to engage in interactive rigorous learning activities to expand their understanding of fine arts and demonstrate how the lessons are relevant to the world around them. â€‹Learning activities are delivered in a variety scaffolding methods to address students' varied learning styles:

Target Demographics:

* High School/Urban

* Grades 9-12

* Secondary Level Proficient/Accomplished

* 90% African American

* 5% Hispanic

* 5% White-non Hispanic

* The curriculum can be adapted to High Schools in suburban and rural communities. Lessons are based on the Alabama Course of Study for Theatre. Gifted Students and students with special education needs may participate in the curriculum with assisted academic devices, modifications and accommodations.
